About the airline
RwandAir (www.rwandair.com) is the flag carrier airline of Rwanda. It is frequently and erroneously referred to as Rwanda Air or Rwanda Airlines, especially when conducting Google searches. Founded in December 2002, the airline operates regular scheduled flights across Southern, Central, West and East Africa. The airline’s main flight hub is situated at Kigali International Airport in Kigali, Rwanda. Operating a fleet of 11 aircraft, the airline is flying to 21 regional and international destinations as of June 2017.
The airline flies under the slogan Fly The Dream Of Africa, the airline has known as RwandAir Express prior to the rebranding exercise of 2009. By the same year, RwandAir already operated scheduled passenger flights to Nairobi (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport), as well as Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and Gisenyi, domestically.
By the year 2015, the airline was transporting over 600,000 passengers internationally per annum, with a load factor of 60%.
The airline’s frequent flyer programme is called Dream Miles, and its IATA call code is WB.

As of June 2017, RwandAir operates regular scheduled flights to Brussels in Belgium and London in the UK. African destinations include Cotonou in Benin, Bujumbura in Burundi, Douala in Cameroon, Brazzaville in the Republic of the Congo, Libreville in Gabon, Accra in Ghana, Nairobi and Mombasa in Kenya, as well as Lagos in Nigeria, Kamembe and Kigali in Rwanda and Johannesburg in South Africa.
Additional destinations include Harare in Zimbabwe, Lusaka in Zambia, Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Entebbe in Uganda and Dubai in the UAE.
South African flight schedule
RwandAir flies to London Gatwick International Airport from Johannesburg three times per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Passengers fly to Kigali in a Boeing 737, from where they are transported to London in a brand new Airbus A330.

RwandAir offers passengers a choice between Business and Economy Class Cabins.
Codeshare agreements
As of the end of 2016, the airline has codeshare agreements in place with Turkish Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines and South African Airways.
